A Plaid Shirt has been reborn with a new name and a pun on the zombie genre.
Plaid shirts, also known as t-shirts, are popular amongst hipsters, with their unique design and the phrase ‘Plaid’.
This year’s theme is zombie, and Plaid has been chosen to make up the first wave of the new wave of zombie puns.
“I thought the best way to put it is that you are wearing a t-shirt that is a t shirt, a zombie, which I think is a good pun,” Plaid CEO Simon Lee said.
“It just sort of comes out of the crowd.”
Lee says the word ‘zombie’ was chosen to play on the word zombie because it was associated with the zombie apocalypse and the concept of the world being turned upside down.
The new logo is inspired by the classic Zombie Wall Poster from the 1980s.
It features the plaid and the word plaid, a combination of the words plaid shirts and plaid.
Lee says it also plays on the pun on plaid trousers, which he says is popular amongst the hipsters.
“We’ve got a lot of people who are plaid t-shirts who don’t want to go through all that work of getting a pair of plaids, they want to just look like a zombie,” Lee said, adding that he liked the idea of the word being a pun because it sounded so clever.
“People are always trying to figure out how to do a pun.
That’s where I think a lot the puns come from.”

Lee said he wanted to use a retro style, using the original plaid as a reference point.
“Our design is a retro type of design,” he said.
He said Plaid was also looking at the pun, but wanted to take the time to consider the original pun before making the changes.
“A lot of times we hear about things that we haven’t done before, but we have to think of the original meaning of the pun,” he added.
Lee also said Plaisance had a big team working on the design of the logo.
“This logo is not just a logo,” he explained.

The Plaisant team had been working on new designs and a new logo, but it is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Lee told News.au the logo is a collaboration between Plaisantes and Plaisancy, a global design and media company.
He says the design is inspired to be more of a retro design.
The team is using a black, neon green, red and gold color scheme.
“What we really wanted was to take some of the retro elements of Plaisancies logo and use it in a new way,” he says.
Lee believes Plaisands new logo will be used by other brands to show off their brand identity.
“If you’re going to use something like that, you should be using it well,” he noted.

In the end, it should be a little bit different, and it needs to show a bit more personality.”

Lee will be showing off the logo at Plaisings inaugural Australian Retail Awards in Melbourne on September 22.
