The Washington Capitals and the Boston Bruins will wear hoodies and plackets to face-off at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., in the second of three games on Thursday night.

Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin and Bruins forward Brad Marchand will wear hats with the “Boston Bruins” on the side and “Boston” in the cap, respectively.

The teams will wear different colors of their respective jerseys.

The game starts at 7 p.m.


Boston is coming off a 2-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday night.

Capitals goalie Braden Holtby made 30 saves in a 3-1 win against the Lightning on Thursday.

The Bruins are coming off their third consecutive shutout and have won seven of their past eight games.

They are 8-1-1 on the season.

The Capitals will be the first team in the NHL to play four games in three nights.

The New York Rangers and Dallas Stars have played three games in four nights.
